This exquisite Ottoman-style armchair is crafted using a beautiful layering of Arjumand’s World fabrics drawing inspiration from Uzbek Suzani motifs on a cotton-blend linen canvas. Adorned with intricate borders sourced from vintage Indian saris, the chair is further enriched with a skirt featuring opulent details in linen and cotton velvet.

Idarica Gazzoni founded the Milan-based fabric house, Arjumand's World, after 20 years of mastering the art of mural painting and trompe l'oeil. The inspiration behind the beautiful collections is Idarica’s fictional muse, Arjumand, an Indian Empress of the Mughal Dynasty. The collection is an eclectic mix of patterns based on Arjumand’s travel inspirations: the Moghul and Ottoman motifs of India’s Taj Mahal, Genoese fabrics for the Russian court, Japan’s ancient indigo-dyed fabrics, and the stripes and florals of the Miao population’s folk clothes in southeast China.
